Whether you just have a few questions or need some advice, this is a great tool for students and families to use when they need quick answers and information. These sessions are virtual.

Limited to 2 sessions per student per 6-month period.

Transfer students: this is the package you’ll want. I work with transfer students on an hourly basis.

PRICE: $50/hour

There are 2 options for essays.

Essay Proofreading & Edits
PRICE: $50/essay

Essay is already written and just needs a proofread and edits. Two virtual meetings with email communication for edits and questions.

Full Essay Assistance
PRICE: $150 for one essay; $250 for 2 essays; $100 for each additional essay.

Help from start to finish utilizing the Wow writing method. One introductory meeting, either in-person or virtual with 2 follow-up virtual meetings. Includes email communication for edits and questions.

Junior year until June 1 before Senior year. You will have 7 sessions that will last 60-90 minutes. Can be either in-person or virtual.

Sessions include:

• Access to:

  • CounselMore College Planning Software

  • Dream School: Finding the College That’s Right For You by Jeff Selingo

  • Many other hands-on resources

• High school course options, including post-secondary options

• Major/program exploration

• Building and working through a school list

• College visit planning, preparation, and reflection

• Application details and early preparation

• Review basics of college costs and financial aid, including FAFSA

• Finalizing school list for applications

• Get a head start on the Common App

PRICE: $2500

Summer before Senior year through graduation. You will have 7 sessions that will last 60-90 minutes. Can either be in-person or virtual.

Sessions include:

• Access to:

  • CounselMore College Planning Software

  • Dream School: Finding the College That’s Right For You by Jeff Selingo

  • Many other hands-on resources

• Building and working through a school list

• College visit planning, preparation, and reflection

• College costs and financial aid (including FAFSA and scholarships)

• Finalizing school list for applications

• Application requirements 

• Plan for letters of recommendation

• Application review, including essay preparation and review

• Review admission letters

• Review financial award letters

• Navigating admitted student portals and admitted student events 

• Making decisions

• Scholarship navigation and advising

• Additional applications assistance (eg, for honors programs, scholarships, etc).

• Prepare for entering college with topics such as:

  • Orientation

  • Housing 

  • Important college purchases

  • Navigating Accessibility resources 

PRICE: $2750

For students who worked with Next Step for Junior Year or those who are at this point in their journey and need assistance. August/September of Senior year through graduation. You can choose 3 or 5 sessions that last 60-90 minutes. In-person or virtual.

Sessions may include:

• Application requirements 

• Application review, including essay preparation and review

• College cost and financial aid (including FAFSA and scholarships)

• Review admission letters

• Review financial award letters

• Navigating admitted student portals and admitted student events 

• Making decisions

• Scholarship navigation and advising

• Additional applications assistance (eg, for honors programs, scholarships, etc).

• Prepare for entering college with topics such as:

  • Orientation

  • Housing 

  • Important college purchases

  • Navigating Accessibility resources

For students who previously worked with Next Step:

Three 60-90 minute sessions: $900

Five 60-90 minute sessions: $1500

For students who are new to Next Step:

Three 60-90 minute sessions: $1,000 + consultation session

Five 60-90 minute sessions: $1750 + consultation session

Each option has access to resources & information specifically built for NextStep clients & begins with a free virtual 45-minute consultation.

Building College List/Major Exploration/College Visit Support
Price: $750

• 2 sessions (virtual or in-person) with work before & between sessions

• College visit guidance

• Finding the right major & how those majors operate at each school on list

• Access to CounselMore software

Application & Essay Assistance
Price: $900

• 3 sessions (virtual or in-person) with work before & between sessions

• Review application types/deadlines & how they operate

• Full application completion support

• Essay writing guidance for all essays (additional charges could occur if applying to more than 5 schools)

College Cost & Financial Aid/Scholarships
Price: $450

• 2 virtual sessions with work before & between sessions

• Determine cost of attendance of each school

• FAFSA guidance

• Evaluate how each school distributes aid/scholarships

• Create plan & assist in external scholarship search

• Guidance post- admissions & aid offer

Have a group of parents that would benefit from a presentation from an educational consultant? Presentations can be scheduled for parent groups regarding important information they need to know about supporting their juniors and seniors. 90 minutes (includes 15-30 mins of Q&A + answering private questions).
